6 more papers to go

Hey 2L! There's just 6 more papers to go and you've already completed ONE QUARTER of the EOYS papers! Isn't that amazing? When you thought you couldn't even bring yourself to school to take the paper...you actually came! AND FINISHED IT!

For tomorrow's History paper, remember to:

CALM DOWN, THINK THROUGH CAREFULLY!!

Construct PEEL properly, explain CLEARLY and remember to memorise SPECIFIC examples to use alright!

Remember to always link back to QUESTION! Focus on the keywords in the QUESTION!

For weighing, you can weigh either based on a common criteria or if its manmade or existing structure / attitude.

Don't WRITE TOO MUCH for inference, and remember to pick out STRONG and SPECIFIC ones, that will do. Writing much doesn't mean it's GOOD. You just need ONE strong evidence!

Explanation is DIFFERENT from rephrasing the evidence! Explanation shows how evidence PROVES the point. EXPLAIN well. VERY IMPORTANT!

Do weighing only after 3 factors (or you can leave space after two points if you don't like this)!

For Tuesday's Geography paper, remember to:

AGAIN, focus on keywords in the question.

MAP READING? Be accurate and remember how to do all the things they want you to do. Practise makes HABIT, not perfect, make sure you know you're doing it right before you do it repeatedly!

If they ask you to refer to (e.g.) Figure 1.3, REFER. If you see a graph, give specific evidence to describe it. Say things like "approximately 15 million (units)". Give numbers. Impress them. Ha-ha.

See the MARKS GIVEN. One mark only? Most likely one point.

Suggest ways to improve? GIVE METHODS that actually AID in solving the problem stated in the question. You may have memorised many solutions but what you have memorised may not solve the problem they have given.

Don't waste time on short answer questions (aka don't require much points) or you might run out of time at the end! Jiayou ~

Math paper:

Don't know, skip first. Remember to come back or the question will miss you and you will miss (pun intended) it and lose marks.

Don't copy down the wrong numbers or you will cry very badly!

Don't act smart and use mental calculation if unsure, just use calculator when you can.

Graphs must be in nice curves...

Practise. Practise right. Practise till you're good! Challenge yourself also. You can do it!

K i have nothing much to say for other papers. If you want you can request, I think. Besides that, nothing else from me, but I'll notify you all when there are more tips.

Compiled by YJ and ZY.
